What is an ebook? I say it is a book which can be readable on your computer screen or mobile phone. It is actually made to read on a ebook reader like Amazon kindle.

You can also define an ebook as an electronic version of a book. But some ebooks does not have its printed version.

The concept of e-book was discovered long ago but people started to take interests in e-books in recent years.

In 1998, US libraries started providing free e-books to their members through their websites and services but still the ebooks were not available for downloading purposes. Within 4 to 5 years, they started giving ebooks for free downloading also.

In 2009, a dedicated ebook reader was produced. In 2009, United States has Amazon Kindle and Sony’s PRS 500 was very popular.

In 2010, Apple has introduced IPAD which is used as a multi functional device and can be used as ebook reader also.

There are many pros and cons of e-books.

People still love to read the printed versions of books. The reason might be that they are still not very comfortable to read for long hours on computer or mobile phones or tablets.

But certainly as the people will continue using these gadgets, they will become more familiar to these things.

The ebook reader generally costs much more but an ebook costs very less compared to the printed version. However the ebook reader can be taken as a bunch of books, so it becomes much cheaper.

If you search for ebooks on google book search on your mobile, you can get all of them for free. They are usually taken from public domains and there are 1.5 million free titles available in United States.

Google book search is available in a mobile interface for iphones and android phones.

You can also download free ebooks on your personal computers as there are many sites now available on google.

The Kindle Family – Amazon Kindle, Kindle Fire, Kindle touch and Kindle books

Here I will talk about Amazon kindle. It is basically an e-book reader. User can download, shop for, read and browse e-books, blogs, newspapers, magazines etc. via wireless connectivity. It is developed by Amazon.com.

Kindle was introduced in 2007 and then Kindle DX line with a larger screen was introduced in 2009. Now in 2011, kindle family includes devices like Kindle keyboard, Kindle touch (touch sensitive screen), Kindle fire which is a tablet computer having a reader app and a color display.

Kindle software is also introduced now which can work on platforms and devices like android, Microsoft windows, Mac, Blackberry.

You can buy and download contents, books, e-books from kindle using Wi-Fi or Amazon’s Whispernet network. It is now available in some countries including United States.

Kindle is now available on Amazon in a new low prize (simple model) in the range $75 to $80.

Kindle Touch is available in two ranges of $99 and $149. One is with Wi-fi and the other is with Wi-fi/3G connectivity. It has Infra-red touch screen.

The recent and famous advanced version is Kindle Fire. It is an android based tablet having a touch screen feature. In $199, it has a bigger screen display also. It has 8 GB of storage which is very high as compared to the previous models.

Now there are over 7,50,000 titles available on Kindle for downloading. You can subscribe to a newspaper now on it on a cost of  $1.99 to $27.99 per month. You can also subscribe to blogs and magazines.

You can get some free books for downloading with some subscriptions or some other e-books. So with some really good books, you can have free e-books also. The free offers include some really famous titles like Game of thrones, Water for elephants and many more.

Kindle contains many more features and Amazon is going superfast in including more and more features in it. So try it now if you like to read books on a tablet. It is certainly more interesting and stylish than reading a simple book.

Workout or Yoga for Fitness

Are you conscious about your fitness? I hope many of us will give the answer as yes but when the time comes to get conscious about it, we look out for a gym or a fitness centre. Many of us would have certainly joined a La Fitness centre probably in our place.

But is it so necessary to join a gymnasium or a fitness centre? I say no. But yes, if you have joined it and attending it on a regular basis.

People generally join these centers as they find themselves too busy in their work or sometimes we become very lazy to think of our fitness without joining any gym.

I can show you some more ways of becoming fit without joining a gymnasium or a La Fitness centre.

People find it difficult to wake up in the morning and go for jogging. We hesitate to do exercises and require a trainer or a coach who can guide us.

But can’t we do jogging on a daily basis on our own treadmill if we have one at out house? Of course we can and it will be a lot easier than joining a gym as we can do it according to our own timings.

If some of us have the answer to the above question as no, then also there is no problem. I can understand that people don’t want to spend their earnings on treadmill. Don’t spend on it. Just spend very little amount on buying a skipping rope and do skipping daily twice for 5 to 10 minutes. It is more than you jog for 20 minutes. Believe me. It requires more energy to do skipping than it requires in jogging.

The other option with us is to do regular yoga exercises. People think that it is not recommended to do yoga without a teacher but now-a-days we have the teachers on internet. You can also buy some yoga dvd and do it by following them. It is very simple actually.

And the basic point in doing yoga is that you can have all the benefits of doing regular exercises in yoga as well and in addition to that it will be beneficial for your mind as well. You can research on this by going on to google and get the information.

So it is just that we want to be fit or we don’t want to be fit. There is no other reply. If we want to be fit we have choose some way either the workout option in a gym or at least the other way which is to do yoga and some basic warm ups at home.

I am sure that most of us now watch most of the Hollywood movies online as we generally miss some of the new movies. With this thought I am scared about the new movies coming in 2012.
