Apple – Mac computers, iPod, iPad, iPhones

We all must have heard of Apple. Yes, I know it is a fruit but there is much popular version of this name and that is Apple Inc., an American multinational company which is famous for its hardware products like Mac computers, iPod, iPad, iPhones. It actually designs and markets electronic items, computer software and personal computers.

Apple computers Inc. was established by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.

Previously known as Apple computer, Inc., now Apple Inc was established in 1976 in Cupertino, California. It is the most admired company in United States in the last four to five years continuously.

The name of the company was changed into Apple Inc. in 2007 because computers were not the only focus of the company now and the main focus has shifted to mobile electronic devices. The same day, they announced the launch of iPhone also.

Within a year Apple launched App store to sell the third party applications of iPhone and iPod Touch. Apple Inc. became the third largest mobile handset supplier in the world due to the popularity of the iPhone.

In 2010, Apple launched a tablet like, large screen media device known as iPad. It runs on the same touch based operating system which the iPhone uses and many of the applications were same as that of the iPhone.

In 2011, Apple launched iPad2 which has a faster processor and two cameras in the front and back. It also has the added support for 3G service provided by Verizon in addition to the existing one of the AT&T.

Talking about the iphone, it is the combination of iPod and smartphone.

In October 2011, Apple launched iPhone 4S. It is featuring the Apple A5 chip and also it is the first iPhone which is on the Sprint network in addition to verizon and at&t.

It includes Siri voice assistance technology and an updated 8 mega pixel camera with new optics.

Apple has dozens of software products also to mention like it develops its own operating system to run of Mac OS X, Apple remote desktop, WebObjects, Java EE Web application server and many more.

All in all a company which has always ruled in the recent past because of its products and name is Apple Inc.
